A great way to explore the surroundings

With an estate of over 50 acres, you can walk over the fields and down to the caves and coves around Balcreuchan Bay where you will find the legendary Sawney Bean’s Cave. This is the perfect opportunity to spot some gannets, oysters catchers and guillemots perching on the rocks.

Wishing to venture a bit further afield, why not head south to the Galloway Forest which is the largest Forest Park in Britain, with over 300 square miles of outstanding natural beauty. Galloway Forest boasts claim to the UK’s first Dark Sky Park.

The Ayrshire Coastal path, which stretches along 100 miles of Ayrshire coastline from Glenapp to Skelmorlie, can be picked up just outside the park
